YouTuber Sandeep Bhatt through his Educational YouTube Channel, ‘Trick It’ delivers knowledge in an easy and detailed manner.

It’s not every day that one comes across an individual that dedicated to his cause. YouTuber Sandeep Bhatt runs one of the most sought after YouTube channels, Trick It. Through his individual efforts, he caters to a large gamut of students who are preparing for various competitive examinations.

The channel espouses a wide range of topics which Sandeep covers through his own tricks and strategies. From Maths Tricks to Geography lessons through innovative Map Reading to Indian Polity, Sandeep Bhatt speaks in an original voice and stresses upon the importance of creating content that helps people in the longer run.

A very self-aware young man, Sandeep believes in contributing towards the well-being of the society as well as the individual.

Here we put YouTuber Sandeep Bhatt on record through this conversation:

Q 1: Tell us about you Sandeep? And what drew you to the medium of YouTube?

Ans- After my graduation, I was preparing for CDS as I was very keen to join the Indian Army. While learning General Studies, I used to make funny tricks to learn various things. At that time, I felt like sharing those tricks with other aspirants as well and Youtube was the best medium to do so. I made sure to explain the complete topic first and then provide the trick for it.

I found that people really liked the way I explained the topics which inspired me to upload more content. Initially, my Youtube channel was mainly about Tricks, but now the content has spread to the topics and subjects like Maps, Polity, General issues and more.

Q 2: One look at the comment section in your videos and one can see how much your content means to the students. How does it feel to be admired by the students you almost never get to see in person?

Ans- When people ask me how much do you earn from YouTube, I say a lot of good wishes in the form of comments, messages, and emails. Their comments or wishes add value to the work I do, and I feel happy that in some way I touch their lives and help them in gaining the knowledge.

Q 3: Your geography lectures are really popular, especially the World Map Series. You have sort of filled a much-needed space there. Moving ahead, what other students’ problems are you looking forward to addressing?

Ans- I felt that our education system tends to ignore the importance of maps. Maps just get limited to the pages of the textbooks. We need to understand that maps help us to bridge the gap between the text and the reality, visualize the world, understand both physical and political aspects.

Moving ahead, I want to touch all such things which are of great importance but ignored by our education system.

Q 4: You say your motive is to deliver knowledge in an easy and detailed manner. But as we know it is extremely difficult to be easy. So how do you manage that? Tell us how you prepare your content?

Ans- I don’t just want to limit my content to any syllabus, I want to produce the content which should be understandable to each person of our society. Now, when I prepare my content, I make sure my words should make sense even to a common man. Nowadays, you see that people make videos looking at the trend, I feel that it is a short-term content and with time loses its value. I want to provide the content which acts as a legacy and help the people in the long run.

Q 5: As the COVID-19 breaks the natural flow of things, as a YouTube Educator, where do you see the next big change in education coming from?

Ans- This pandemic has taught us that with the help of technology there are many tasks which can be done by sitting at home, especially online learning. In past, to have a good education, a student had to travel to big cities and enrol in big institutes but now with online platforms, any aspirant can prepare by sitting at home with the help of the internet. So, I think that Online Educations will be a big thing in the coming future.

Q 6: Has your workload increased since the onset of the lockdown? Can you give us an insight into the Trick It numbers?

Ans- Professionally, I am a software engineer and during this lockdown, the workload has really gone up. So, it is hard for me to find the time for my channel but still, I utilize my weekends on research and video creation. Currently, my channel stands with 220K+ subscribers.

Q 7: As a YouTube educator, what responsibility do you feel towards your students?

Ans- Through my videos, I want to make them understand that, please do not learn just to clear any exam. Learn so that you can implement those learnings in the society and contribute towards the well-being of people around you.

Q 8: And lastly, what kind of assistance and collaborations are you looking forward to from the education industry and other players? In case they are reading it.

Ans- With time I have come to realize that I possess a skillset by which I can make people understand any topic and I enjoy doing so. In the past, I have taught at Ed-tech platforms like Unacademy and I do look forward to such collaborations.
